The castle was rebuilt in the 17th century and has been fully restored with modern comforts while retaining its authentic charm.

Chateau De Werde is 25 kilometres south of Strasbourg on the edge of the River Ill, surrounding by landscaped gardens. Europa Park, a German theme park, is just a 20-minute drive away.
