The spacious guest room (45 m²) is located in a historic farmhouse, renovated in an ecological way: solid wood floors, paintings and organic materials create a pleasant atmosphere. A solar thermal system and a wood heater provide hot water and heating.
The house is surrounded by a beautiful newly landscaped flower garden, an orchard and a vegetable garden.

The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable bed (160x200 cm) and a convertible bed (140x200 cm) for 2 additional people, a large table with chairs, a shelf and a wardrobe. A hairdryer and a kettle are available.
A wooden cube located inside the bedroom contains a bathroom equipped with modern facilities (walk-in shower) as well as the toilets.
The guest room offers direct access to the garden and a pleasant terrace. Let yourself be tempted by a break in the garden.

A delicious breakfast served on the terrace or in the lounge is included and in the evening, dinner can be served on request.
During your stay, you may have the opportunity to see the artist Ursi Schiegnitz at work in his studio. Her work focuses on painting and creating paper objects and art books (www.ursischiegnitz.de)
It is possible to book, during the stay, an artistic course under the direction of the artist: for example, the creation of a book, the creation of paper from natural materials or drawing and painting from life .
On the ground floor of the large historic barn is the workshop of luthier Thomas Schiegnitz, who works with wood in various forms.
The first floor can also host concerts and exhibitions. The barn can also be rented for other events.

The house is located in the small village of Migré in Charente-Maritime about 45 km from the Atlantic. In our village there is an excellent restaurant: La Source du Moulin.
Surgères and Saint-Jean-d'Angély (17 km) are the nearest towns with shops and small cultural offerings.
The Ile de Ré and the Ile d'Oléron are located next to Rochefort (45 km) and La Rochelle (50 km).
The whole region is ideal for bike rides.
