By Car:
From Paris/North - drive to Royan to take the ‘Bac’ (Les Bacs Girondins) from Royan to Le Verdon-sur-Mer. A thirty-minute crossing, there are continuous ferries during the summer, with schedules running through spring, autumn, and winter. Please refer to the following site for up-to-date times. Soulac-sur-Mer is 15 minutes from the port of Le Verdon-sur-Mer. There is on-street parking available outside the house.
From Bordeaux/South – Drive north on the D1215 towards Lesparre-Medoc and Le Verdon- sur-Mer. Soulac-sur-Mer is approximately 1 ½ hours from the Rocade (Bordeaux circular).
By Train:
Trains from Paris to Bordeaux run on a regular basis and take between 2 ½ hours to 3 hours. From the same station in Bordeaux, trains run to Le Verdon-sur- and Soulac-sur-Mer is the penultimate stop. Journey time from Bordeaux is approximately 1 ½ hours.
