The Kings Head Country Hotel

The Edwardian King’s Head Hotel offers luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation in Great Bircham, around 20 minutes’ drive from King’s Lynn. This boutique hotel on the Sandringham Estate also features a cosy bar and AA Rosette restaurant using the best of the area’s produce.

All rooms at the King’s Head are furnished in a unique and contemporary style, with en suites all including baths, as well as a separate or overhead shower. Large beds come with luxury duvets and plenty of pillows, and the rooms are spacious enough to accommodate extra beds or cots.

The restaurant serves traditional British food, including seasonal local specialities such as Cromer mussels and crab. There are Norfolk steaks, chicken and pork, as well as a lunchtime menu of sandwiches and light meals.

An hour’s drive from Norwich, Great Bircham is also less than 10 minutes from the stately Houghton Hall and Gardens. The north Norfolk coast, with resorts including Hunstanton, is also within 20 minutes’ drive.
