The Aquarium du Grand Lyon, at the confluence of the Rhone and Saone, consists of 40 aquariums housing 5000 specimens from 450 species represented and directed in 10,000 liters of water. The largest of aquariums called Titan, is the tray sharks, also holding rays. It contains a false wreck in polyurethane resin (iron would have rusted and the rust is toxic to fish). Its lower glass is 23 cm thick, to withstand the pressure of the water.
