Yvon Lambert Collection was inaugurated in July 2000 in this city whose history is conspicuous by its museums collections made by amateurs and various private donors, Campana for the Petit Palais, Musée Calvet Puech for. Yvon Lambert has a unique collection of contemporary art in France, which has been presented only twice, in Villeneuve d'Ascq in 1992 and Yokohama in 1998. The collection consists of sets always consistent Robert Ryman, Brice Marden, Carl Andre, Gordon Matta-Clark, Anselm Kiefer, Christian Boltanski, Andres Serrano, Douglas Gordon ... Some, like Cy Twombly and Nan Goldin, absent French national collections, have pride of place here.
