In the village center of Ettueffont, located in the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges and on the road to villages in bloom, an eighteenth century building, listed in the inventory of historical monuments, houses the Forge Museum. The museum presents the place of life and work of four generations of blacksmiths in the village between 1843 and 1977. He keeps the shop with his tools, his bellows and hammer forging, where Petitjean exercised their art in different ways, the shoeing of animals in the manufacture of axes, through the banding wheel. It also helps to understand the dual activity of peasant blacksmith, organization and living conditions in the country of the Vosges in the nineteenth and twentieth century.
