Established in 1863 by Jean-Pierre Deschamps-barrel, head gardener of the city of Paris, Vauban garden (3 hectares) is classified a historical monument since 1990. This is a typical English garden, characterized by romantic imitation of nature. A slight undulation, lawns where a winding stream, a cave and waterfall, ancient trees and flower beds make it a particularly pleasant place to stroll. Monuments in honor of Albert Samain Lille, Edouard Lalo and Charles de Gaulle enhance the visit. The old cottage goats Mr. Rameau now hosts a popular puppet theater for children.
