The Unterlinden Museum in Colmar is a Museum of Fine Arts of the most visited province of France (220,000 visitors). The collections are maintained in a former convent of Dominicans in Gothic architecture founded in the thirteenth century. After the departure of the nuns in the Revolution, the buildings gradually abandoned, used as military barracks until the mid-nineteenth century. Collection of ancient art and modern art gallery.
