Classified as "Historic Monument" since 1998, the former Carthusian monastery now houses a Museum of Archaeology, Art and History. The collections evoke the history of the Valley of the weevil, the Paleolithic period to the present. The same facility houses the Bugatti Foundation which perpetuates through the presentation of cars, unusual objects and many documents, the memory of the great builder Ettore Bugatti (1881-1947), creator of the factory installed on the outskirts of the city since 1909. The route continues on the outside with a visit to the convent buildings, three Carthusian cells that have regained their original furniture, and the great monastery is being restored under the leadership of the "Volunteer of the Workshop of the Chartreuse."
