Where, from 1760 to 1763, Louis Felix Marco, a lawyer Sovereign Council of Alsace and Bailiff of the Lordship of Barr, built this beautiful house on a plot on the outskirts of the city, its citizens and the administration called him a "madness" . So he died almost broke. Emptied, but retaining some essential elements of its interior, the house passed through various hands and it is the last owners, brothers Gustave and Henri Schwartz, who bequeathed, lovingly refurbished to their hometown. Thus, the "Marco Madness" is now a museum of Alsatian bourgeois furniture of the seventeenth to the nineteenth century, from the Renaissance to the Empire and the Restoration, supplemented by collections of pottery and porcelain, of pewter and local souvenirs.
