The archaeological collections trace the history of the city from prehistory to the Middle Ages. The site of the hill of St. Helena has delivered a large stone tools. Several deposits of the Bronze Age are from sites near Vienna Ternay (Rhône), Grigny (Rhône), Chézenas. The whole object of the filing of Sainte-Blandine (hill overlooking Vienna) allows us to imagine the lives of people with second and first centuries BC.
