A history of painting in Lyon and the Rhône-Alpes from 1865 to today's municipal museum's permanent collection-Paul Dini de Villefranche-sur-Saone includes works of artists with a connection between life and work with the Rhône Alpes-19th century to the present. Following the donation of thrush and Paul Dini, the municipal museum, which opened in 2001 offers a chronological deployment of its collections from the influence of the Barbizon School, through the currents of the early 20th and innovative to address the visions of figuration of the new Lyon after the war to the present.
