Since 1922, more than a thousand works, paintings, lithographs, drawings, and all posters by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec are preserved and exhibited at the Museum of Albi, which has become the largest museum in the world of work of Toulouse-Lautrec was born in the city in 1864. This collection of primary importance was given by the parents of the painter, the count of the Comtesse de Toulouse-Lautrec, Maurice Joyant advised by a friend of the artist, and the latter's cousin, Dr. Tapie de Céleyran. In addition to this substantial funding, the Museum of Albi has collections of archeology, ancient art and modern art.
