The Natural History Museum of Chambery was established in 1844 by members of the Society of Natural History of Savoy, who provide volunteers for over 150 years the maintenance and presentation of collections to the public. Around the year 1900/1920, they have assembled a unique collection of fossils from further enriched and whose only storage required the construction of an additional floor. Visitors can marvel in the halls of Entomology (butterflies, beetles and other insects) and mineralogy renovated, and dream in the hall devoted to birds and small mammals, preserved in its original presentation, not to mention the exhibition of conchology (shell) on the walls of the conference room.
